Be honest NOW.who the hell really thought

when we scored that touchdown with 1:45 to go that's when I really was SCared , just too much F'n time for us in KEY ASS Game situations to pull it off.....sure we would have held if it was the first half , but not the game's ending half......................................

Can you imagine the flap that would have ensued in KC had we STOPPED Johnson on the last play?

In my mind, you kick the sure filed goal and send the game into overtime. Clearly, Vermeil was afraid the Raiders had too much momentum going and didn't like his chances.

I agree he saw momentum change, but also feel it was because of injuries....we lost 2 more today....thats 7 starters out.....but he sure would have paid the price in the press had we not scored....

Yeah, I gotta agree with you all. When there was about 4 minutes to play I was thinking hurry up and score so we can get the ball back, but when it got under 2 minutes I wanted them to hammer the ball. 1:45 was way too much time.

Actually I even told the wife as soon as we scored that TD: "we left way too much time on the clock to pull this off in regulation!"
We've played terrible when it counts most all year long.
It wasn't going to change against the Chiefs.
I thought we were in trouble in the first half when the offense seemed content to just get a field goal everytime we touched the ball.
    No guts, no glory!!!

Whether it's the playcalling, coaching, or whatever, we beat the terrible teams because they were terrible and we have enough talent to win in spite of the screw ups.

When you play a "good team" you'll lose those games 9 out of 10 times.

Same thing happened last season vs KC. We scored late to take the lead and our defense gave it right back
