    Raiders Defense

Raiders Defense, isn't that an oxymoron? I hear all this about how the Raiders D will stop Mcgahee, how over rated willis is, how the Bills will be stopped dead in their tracks.

I just dont see how that can happen against this defense, and in case your wondering, I brought some stats with me:

The raiders have the 29th overall defense, and they are 22nd against the run, this defense gives up 117 yards per game, but somehow they will come together to stop Willis this weekend?

Your defense is 28th against the pass, in case you haven't noticed, The Bills have some great playmakers at receiver: Lee Evans is a speedy number 2 who can spread the field and Eric Moulds is a threat at the number 1 that will demand double coverage. The possible return of Roscoe Parrish for this game may mean trouble for the raiders depleted pass defense. kelly Holcomb may not be a flashy Quarterback that you think of when you think of good QB's but the fact is he has several 300 yard games and a 400 yard games, he'll look pretty good against the number 28 pass D.

The raiders Defense lets up 366 yards per game on average. Thats an invite for willis and the crew to come to raider nation and tear it up, youll be hit by a hurricane... Sorry but I really dont know how you will stop any team this year, let alone the Bills who will run all over you, and when your secondary moves up too close -- The Bills will pass. A defense that has allowed at least 20 points per game is not going to beat the Bills this sunday, good luck with that...

Also for those of you that think that Moss will play, you are crazy. He is not going to risk further injury, he bruised is ribs, pulled a groin and something else, you dont recover from three injuries in a week, not gonna happen. And if he does play he will not be 100 percent and Nate Clements will shut him down (see number 1 pass Defense).

the fact that your looking at numbers... shows that you havent watched any raider gams which means you have no opinion on the matter.

surprised you didnt use the "theres only one stat that matters, W's and L's" Oh thats right you cant use that argument. Thats all that needs to be seen, you cant stop the pass, you cant stop the run, and you cant stop opponents from scoring = you cant win

Is there something in the rules that say that you cant use stats when making a point? or does it say that you cant talk bad about the raiders? what a sheltered existence. Whatever the case, I didnt say anything bad I just started an intelligent conversation using numbers to make a point, is that wrong?

    no but your wrong

Willis McGahee is good but his blocking isnt better then the pats and he is not a better RB then the Dillon... who we shut down

his blocking is not better then the cowboys, and he is about the same as julius jones who we shut down

his blocking is not better then the eagles, and he is about the same as brian westbrook... who we shut down

his blocking is not better then the chiefs thats for sure, and he is not a better running back then priest holmes or larry johnson in that system, both of which got SHUT DOWN

so keep up the false hope that Willis McGahee will rush for over 100 yards on our defense based on the misskewed rankings cuz its not gonna happen, your run blocking and FB blocking is not good enough and McGahee is not good enough.. sorry, next time you want to look up stats and bring them on this board, dont cuz your wrong pal were a better defense then you think thus why only LT who is a far better RB then McGahee at this time is the only RB to get over 100 yards on us.

Ok, Last week was the first week that Mcgahee had the O Line completely healthy, He ran for 90 yards in the first half alone, on 16 carries none the less. Second Even though J. Jones didnt run for 100 he did run for 76 and his back up ran for 36 thats 112 if your keeping track. Priest and Larry got shut down? They ran for a combined 116 and Johnson ran for 41 on 9 carries, thats more than 4 yards per carry which will move the chains. And as far as Dillon goes, he ran for 2 TD's and Brady had over 300 yards passing, you dont really need a running game with that kind of passing game, actually that was the common denominator in all the games you mentioned, heavy passing. None of the the teams you named were based on the Run like the Bills are, Mcgahee will get the ball often and the Raiders will see just what he can do.

we were a top 15 Run D before the Chargers game, LT killed us ill admit that but we didnt get rest on defense
so the teams previous to the chargers game, didnt dominate us!
look at the run D talent we have, Sapp, Washington, Kelly, Hamilton, Morrison, Clark, Gibson, Asomugha, Woodson... dont expect Mcgahee to dominate us I am not saying he is uncapable of that cuz I am a U fan and I think McGahee can be and I want him to be the best RB in the NFL, but to be honest I cant give your run blocking all the credit in the world right now, and I think you are HIGHLY underestimating our defense.. and its gonna come back to haunt you trust me.

This is whats going to happen

IF our offense controls the clock, and gives our defense time to rest you will see a good defense at work.. a good defensive coach work his magic, and you wont see McGahee have a great game this is saying our defense shows up tomorrow

IF our offense does not give our defense time to rest then McGahee is due for a big day, but he will be stopped on drives that our defense is 100%.. everyone gets stopped by our rested defense, but they tear up our unrested defense cuz our offense has been terrible at that this year.

Understandable but to control the clock you have to stop the run and the pass on defense, and the raiders pass defense is less than perfect. The Bills have scored on the opening drive of every game this year, except one, if they keep that alive they will have an early lead and you will see alot of Willis, especially if the Bills keep the lead. The Raiders offense has to be able to move the ball against the Bills D. Our run d leaves much to be desired because they have let up at least one big run the last 3 weeks. The Bills are decent against the run otherwise, LaMont Jordan is a decent back that the Bills defense needs to respect, if he can carry the raiders then they could pull a win out in this game. If the Bills can score early and not let the raiders run too much then the Bills will win, with one of the worst pass offenses going against the best pass defense, Clements and Mcgee are monsters at corner, Milloy and Vincent are crazy at safety, and our LB core, oh boy even without spikes our LB's have been great, LB's set the tone, Lb's set the tempo.

I feel we can stop the pass and the run if our defense doesnt come out on the field winded almost every drive, our D has been very good on the first drive of the game but when our offense comes out on the field and then 3 seconds later were punting.. our D has to come out and give there all once again, were not a good enough D to where we can play 70% of the game like were pratically doing..

Willis McGahee is a beast, but we've faced better RB's (besides LT) before and shut them down, if you want to make an argument about it then try me...

Bring it, ASS CLOWN!! We've also gone up against the top 4 RB's in the league. We've had to play some really good offenses. Your Bills suck! I can't wait to play you punks. You'll see the difference in the talent level between the AFC East and West. Your division is a joke, other than the Patriots. Too bad for them, injuries have taken them out of contention. I really don't think Randy Moss we'll play, and it won't matter. We have pretty much the same WR corp and a better RB than last year. You have the same D minus Spikes? We're gonna eat you bitchez alive. Jordan is gonna run all over your D. We've held some great running backs in check, see Dillon, and Priest Holmes, dumb ass!! Willis, big mouth, Mcgahee is gonna get a hard slap in the mouth with reality on Sunday. All I got to say is, "BRING IT SON!" TRUTH? YOU CAN'T HANDLE THE TRUTH!!!!!! FUK'N ASS CLOWN
Don't let what you can't do, stop you from doing what you can do!

Well to do that you have to go against a good pass defense and a underachieving run defense. Our run defense must stop Jordan, and if Jordan is not a tough runner who is used to getting the ball 25 times a game(which he isnt) then the Bills can stop him because our Run D is good early. And if the Bills can put the game in there hands early, look out
