Porter "Over-Rated!"

Last season JP played near a #1 wr level. Last season isnt in question for me. The question is his speed this season.

Nobody that saw him run that pitch can tell me that JP was at his normal 4.5 speed on that pitch.

Porter has been injured, Curry, Whitted, Gabriel has been injured, i dont even think they have fielded a 100% starting line up yet .. but hopefully Norv starts scheming 3-4 WR sets, we have the talent, we just need to start utilizing it

hey retard, he is a #2 receiver, do you know what that is? do you know what his job is? do you understand that he missed ALL of training camp and ALL of preseason? these first 4 games were essentially his preseason and his training camp, he is going to find his groove. through our first 4 games, our gameplans have changed so much, one game we'll focus on the run as our main option, then we'll mix in a lot of PA, and back and forth. we have a bye, jerry will finally get to rest, but you can bet your ass that we will put forth our most complete game against SD, and jerry never truly was a deep threat, 100 yard kind of guy, he is more of a possession kind of guy, and you'll see throughout the year, he'll get his catches and yards.

I'm not blaming JP. Chill out. No reason to call people names. JP is a Raider as well. JP actually has caught more passes this year than he did last year. Thats never been my question. I just want to know if he is 100% healthy.

All I got to say is this... not gonna say he's overrated, but I will say so far a dissapointment. Look at the Cardinals numbers from Sunday. Look at Boldin and Fitzgerald. Now those are the numbers that we should have. Do they have a better QB than us? Are they better than the WR's than we have? I'm gonna have to say "No"

I like JP, but have been disappointed thus far with his ability to get open.

I hope he'll be there against SD, if not pull him out for a few games, get his sharp again. But like i said before. If he starts hurt he'll stay hurt all year long, in this case the trainers should have protected Porter. He'll be better after the bye ....i hope

If not Give him a rest and play Gabriel and Morant in the 3 wr set

It is still under 1,000 and that was his best year. He is being paid like a top tier WR but his numbers don't say he is a top tier WR. Like him or not he has yet to put up the numbers to earn that type of deal. I'm not saying I don't like Porter but the truth is he isn't worth that type of money and has yet to step it up this year. In fact he has been terrible this year! Blame Collins, injury, Turner, etc. but the simple facts are he isn't getting open and earning his money. When Gabriel is on the field he makes more plays then Porter in a very limited basis.
