Lack of pass rush makes it pretty hard for the defensive backfield to do their job. Look at what happened last year in Denver. Denver's lack of pass rush made exposed Champ Bailey as something less than the best corner cover in the game.

Burgess is a very good edge rusher. Kelly was unblockable all preseason. Even Delawrence Grant looked good. The key to our pass rush being better is getting pressure up the middle so that when Burgess, Grant, and Kelly (when playing DE) force the QB up into the pocket, the Dtackles need to be there to make the play.

Last season when the Raiders signed Sapp, I was excited. How could one team stop both Sapp and Washington in the middle, then Ryan changed everything up with the 3-4. It was a horrible change, now we're back in the 4-3 and Sapp looks like Sapp again. If Sapp is back, along with kelly,burgess,washington,Irons, it looks like we'll be strong again. My biggest worry about pass rush is scheme. I feel if Ryan leaves our boys alone to play THEIR GAME IN THEIR NATURAL POSITIONS we'll compete with a good defense, alot is to be seen and I think alot will be answered thursday night though. I'm praying to see SAPP BACK and all over brady thursday. Well those are my thoughts. GO OAKLAND RAIDERS & ATTACK DEFENSE ATTACK!!!!
