I know I am going to take crap for this but when the Raiders hired Norv Turner I hung my head knowing what they were getting.

Teyo was not a playmaker as how many plays did he actually make? He can't block, acts like a bitch and was not prductive the preseason. Foschi was able to catch and blocked better than Teyo.

I agree, teyo did nothing better than foschi this preseason. but you have to take into account opportunity and at the level of competition. I'm sure these cuts were based on practice and reinforced in the limited action these guys seen in games. I bet Teyo's cut was based on salary as well.

I was dissapointed with Foreman and Hawthorne but maybe they were not going with the flow of things

Yes. Sometimes guys get cut because of NON-PLAYING issues. Team chemistry for eg. Attitude. Ask to be traded/cut if not starting etc..

i agree.. im a lil mad we let go of teyo but nothing big.. we should have traded for something.. i know we would of gotten something

the only reason why people are mad that we cut teyo, at least the only reason why i am mad, is because we wasted a 2nd roudner on him, but as far as production, he never did ****, EVER! it was a wasted gruden pick just like pbuch, and harris!

foschi is a hard nose guy, and he looked really good this preseason, solid blocker, and nice hands. we arent going with explosive TE's in our offense, we are after solid blocking first, but with soft hands, and all of our TE's are just that, teyo was just retarded. why do you run backward and NOT get the first down when it was right here?

I'm over the initial anger from the cutting of Teyo. Foschi will bring us the things we need, pass and run blocking and decent hands out of the backfield.

Couldn't have said it any better myself. It is clearly obvious to me that the Raiders were looking to rid themselves of guys that were either cancers or continuously made mental errors that cost the Team in CRITICAL situations, this started as soon as the off season began. Teyo did have POTENTIAL...so doesn't every other player that straps on a helmet in the NFL. This team is going to be looking to get the ball down field, and will be looking for the TE position to be able to BLOCK...something that Teyo wasn't very good at, hate to see him go because of that POTENTIAL but its all abut winning and I believe that we kept the BEST 53 to put us in a position to WIN football games...remember its not just Offense and Defense, Special Teams are a HUGE part of a Teams success, and it appears that the Raiders have kept several players that may not be stars on the Offensive or Defensive side of the ball but are very good special team players. It all starts Thursday in Foxboro, WOW!

Not sure if I would pass judgement on those picks just yet, yes Teyo, PB and Nap are gone but the were parlayed into draft picks (Fabian Washington and Moss).

Which Teyo are you talking about? The teyo who whiffs on blocks, doesn't run or complete his routes, and thinks he should start because he attented offseason workouts although he doesn't EXECUTE well on game day? Oh well I guess we should keep him and hope that by next year he'll figure things out.

Look catching a pass downfield is cool and all but not sealing the edge on run plays and letting blitzers run by you aint going to keep you on any roster. I was more impressed with the other TE's than teyo for real this preseason. And I've never seen him as a PLAYMAKER! Just a guy who could have been special IF he got his act together. Aint that funny. I'm sure if you look at the cut list you'll see it full of people who "could've been if they.............
