good post
I believe that just like our offense, when our defense is on the field for 4 quarters there gonna do a lot more then what they did in the preseason
Per NFL.com
We Were :
3rd in Yard Per Game Allowed
9th (best) in Opposing Teams 3rd Percentage
4th in Passing Yards Per Game Allowed
12th in Rushing Yard Per Game Allowed
8th in Points Per Game Allowed
And This wasnt because of our backups, (Not Counting the INT's return for TD's and the Saftie)
Raiders Starters Allowed only 16 Points (Only 2 TD's) in 7 Q's of Play
Raider Back ups Allowed 31 Points in 9 Q's of Play
Might not mean much to some of you, but last year, we couldnt stop some teams backups ... I think this is a good step in the right direction.

Not trolling, but teams don't even game plan in the pre season. Do you think the Colts are worried about 0-5? You'll be able to judge the progress after 2 or 3 reg. season games. Plus you won't want to judge them after the Pats hang 34 on them Thursday.Originally Posted by AnDroiDRaider64

This hopefully boosts up their confidence. The defense actually looks good in my view. Probably cuz I am used to seeing that horrible Vikings defense last year which is even worse than the Raiders. If we rank in the top 20 in defense we are defintely a 10+ win team.
Well, i do think something goes into a preseason game plan, and your right about it being only preseason, No the Colts wouldnt have been 0-5, as to say the same with the Raiders who held the leads in games 1-3 only to have the back ups suck ........ the the point im trying to throw out is that our starters have played really good football, say we did play the starters in 4 Q's these stats would have even been better (predicting wise). But after seeing what we were able to do the entire last year, everyone has kept thier eye's on the defense, we have to judge these guys, but your right we will see what happens come the 8th.Originally Posted by TuckRule

the point is alot of our players played well in the preseason were watching how they play football! and thats what matters, they will bring this into the regular season and change everyones thought about the Raiders D and patriots O cant hang 34 points on us, try 14.
Who allowed the other 16 points they gave up? ;)Raiders Starters Allowed only 16 Points (Only 2 TD's) in 7 Q's of Play
Raider Back ups Allowed 31 Points in 9 Q's of Play
Walters threw a pick game 1, the guy returned it for a TDOriginally Posted by trench
Tui also threw a pick in game 2 causing a TD
and The Collins fumble causing saftie in game 2
But thats just the Offense![]()
Unfortunately for the Patsies, the Raider O wlll hang 35 on the Bruschiless defense. Do the math.Originally Posted by TuckRule
2 INTs for TDs and a safety? I hear those Niners and Cardinals can be pretty tough on D. ;)Originally Posted by AnDroiDRaider64
