Shut The Hell Up, Teyo Sucks!!!
Last year Teyo celebrates on the field after a first down..as a result he is in the doghouse..and only gets PT at the end of the year after Courtney Anderson gets injured..Teyo then works his ass off in the offseason and has played well except for not putting his head down and picking up a first down last week..and a false start today..Because of last weeks mistake..tonight Teyo was the fourth string TE and didnt play until the 4th qtr..Lets look at other mistakes by Raiders that have not been demoted..Courtney drops a TD in the first game..and tonight..and has a false start..and although he should not have been asked to block a DE one on one he did give up a sack..but guess what he is still first string...whoever the 2nd string TE was had a false start..whoever the te was that was playing FB misses a pass(maybe a tad bit high) that goes for a TD..If this TE depth chart doesnt have tEYo at least 2nd string ..Norv is an idiot..Now Anderson is a better blocker..other than that Teyo is a much better pass catcher..the thing that kills me is Teyo's former basketball coach is right across the parking lot..and Norv hasnt found out how to get a long with Teyo..I refuse to believe that Teyo is an atitude problem...Tui contributes to costing us the game three weeks in a row..gets cussed out on the regular by Norv..but he is still our backup...If Teyo is cut...how could turner justify keeping Tui..Anderson..or whoever the 2 te are that played tonight...I dont even want to get started on irons and brayton stopping Corey dillons off tackle runs in two weeks ..or even covering a TE or slot Wr..Too top off the LB situation..Irons ***** around and has a decent game tonight..I hope Al steps in and makes sure Teyo is the 2nd string TE at least

He's definitely better than Ricky Dudley! What was that all about? Maybe Norv just wanted to evaluate the other te's more this game and Teyo will play more against the Saints. Teams are not isolating Irons or Brayton at lb in preseason but they definitely will in two weeks. Al, get some lb help now! It's getting late.

anyways, yeah anderson had a bad game. But dont forget its still preseason and theres still alot of evaluation to get done. I doubt it teyo gets cut, hes good, but i think youre overreacting. I respect your opinion but i think norv knows more than you do about these guys, and i dont think hes an idiot either.
We shall see. Also, dont be surprised to see anderson drop to 2nd and teyo run with the 1st string o.
peace
wow this is the 3rd thread I've looked @ today with you being a CLOWN.... your going to be a goner FASTOriginally Posted by FATBOY
With our depth at WR I think we need a TE that can block. Whether you like R Dudley or not he has experiance and can block. Last year C Anderson was balls to the wall till he got hurt.
courtney anderson did let me down tonight, but the big thing will be to see how he bounces back......all players have crappy games.......
yeah teyo in my mind is the **** haha exciting to watch!
I have to confess I'm not Norv's biggest fan... that said, I do concur that he makes some strange, senseless decisions some times. Yes he seems to be more stringent with some players (Tui, Teyo, etc) than others (Anderson, etc)...
The only thing I have to say is that the jury is out for this coaching staff after this year, is either a good season (at least 8-8, 9-7, possibly playoffs) or the door for them, with the amount of talent we have this team needs to work and if it doesn't work is the coaches' fault... Al knows that and he will not give them a chance for a third losing year, believe me...
It's as simple as this, Norv is trying to drive those people out of town. He is nice to the people he brought in, and is an asshole to the people that he didnt. One of the first rules of leadership is to build you're own army, and Norv seems to be taking this to the extreme... I don't like anyone who has favortism and biasm, and then basis decisions off of that... I don't like Norv one bit, and doesnt he know what a brush is?

Probelm is, you're basing your opinion on just a few plays in the pre-season whereas Norv and the coaching staff have had the opportunity to watch these guys play day in, day out in training camp. Simply put, they know a lot more about these players than you do. To baselessly claim that PT is being doled out on a basis of personality rather than ability is ridiculous. If Norv could get along with Michael Irvin in Dallas and Ricky Williams in Miami, I'm pretty sure he can deal with Teyo.Originally Posted by Demar7
One more point ... you mention Anderson's far superior blocking ability as an afterthought. Wrong, wrong, wrong. On this team, and in this offense, it's much more important for the tight end to be a great blocker and decent pass catcher than the other way around. With Moss, Porter, Curry, Gabriel and Jordan, the TE is far down the priority list when it comes to ball distribution.
1. Is that why he's starting Derrick Gibson (the guy he didn't bring in) and released Marques Anderson (the guy he did)?Originally Posted by Hite
2. Do you really believe Norv has ever brought anybody into the Raiders? Do you think he makes personnel decisions?
