    Riddle almost injures Moss

    http://www.sacbee.com/content/sports...14240101c.html

Rookie middle linebacker Ryan Riddle from Cal bumped Randy Moss into an awkward, potentially injury-producing landing during the starting offense's light work against a backup defense running the 49ers' sets. After a leaping catch, Riddle ran into the Raiders' most valuable offseason acquisition. Moss crumpled to the ground when his right leg buckled beneath him.
    Quote of the day:
"Get the hell off the field!"
    - an unidentified offensive player, shouting at Riddle from behind the huddle after he bumped Moss into the ground. Riddle indeed was out of the drill after that.

Riddle is a rookie and he's finding out the higher he goes up in football the less contact there is in practice. By now everyone should know it's one notch above flag football at Raider camp. So Riddle I guess it's too bad for you, to try to impress the coaches in camp, that is what the preseason games are for. That is why they have to have preseason games otherwise you would have to plow each other day in and out in camp so the coaches would really know what they have.

I bet the ****ing wind was sucked from the lungs of everyone there, player and coach alike. My heart would have dropped into my ass if I had seen this live.

Thats BS IMO. **** like this will happen. A rookie is like a baby; it learns from its mistakes and past- so by discouraging aggressiveness we may have just turned him iinto a bit of a pussy

    At least Moss isn't injured...

It sounds like it was incidental to me. Let the guys play. If Moss gets injured, thats just bad luck. No one can control that ****. Thank god he's not injured...

They won't let the guys play and if we have another soft defense I will again blame it right back to camp napasisies.

CLose call, but the defense does need to learn to tackle.

Yea...this one sounded like incidental contact. I don't think he was trying to light him up. The scary part is reading about how his right leg buckled. Wasn't it his right leg that was injured last year? Just growing pains for the rook is all...
