Question about downloading

This "guy" I know posts Raiders games on the web for download via P2P and bittorrent.

His question for those who might consider downloading is this:

Do you care about what happens in between snaps and commentary?


The reason I ask is, if I strip the audio commentary and cut the non important gametime like timeout huddles and inbetween snap non action I can significanly lower the size of the file and even increase the video quality.

I am writing (ok, semi writing, more like altering some open source stuff) a sound editing program that can rip Greg Pappa's broadcast and then I use the program to edit and then sync the audio to the video in a lighter mp3 format. I have to admit though this won't be ready this year unless it is playoffs. For several reasons, one I am a self taught programmer and 2 it is hard.

Anyway, I would appreciate opinions on this, do you prefer the game in its entirety? Or do you just want the action? I am pretty sure noone cares about the broadcast audio.

All the non football and huddle stuff could be stripped away... I'd have no prob with it... Greg Pappa is the better commentator anyway. ;)

Don't care about what happens between snaps and most of the comentators are biased anyway.

Do what you gotta do to make the video better and shorter!!

I've been wanting to try something like this for a couple of years now but I just haven't had the time to edit and synch everything up. Hope you get it to work! Just let any of us know if we can help!

The only part that matters is snap to whistle. The one exception might be is if there is a close call or challenge. Then I think seeing other angles would be nice, but only if it's worth seeing. Probably 90% of the time it's just the snaps. Also commentary doesn't really matter as much as in game sounds. Don't really care who's chatting.
