That's great to hear. Thanks
My dad works on the waterfront. He knows Kirk Morrisions dad and yesterday he talked to him.
He said that Kirk Morrison got huge. I mean gigantic. Also that he has a very good chance to win a strarting position.
Just letting yall know
That's great to hear. Thanks
Hope that he is not compromising his little speed on account of gaining weight.
Kirk was in Mini Camp a couple weeks ago, when did he get huge? I think Morrison could win a starting job but with Williams and Smith healthy it will reduce his chance of starting. But if experience is any indicator one or both of these guys will get injured and Morrison will become a starter.Originally Posted by Hydrex

I would hope that if he is gaining weight it is because the Raiders asked him to.Originally Posted by OaklandRdr

Speed is important too but nowadays with proper training, they can add bulk without losing speed.
I am psyched about Kirk Morrison being a Raider!, I mean no matter how long or under what circumstance he cracks the starting lineup, he will strive to be a true Raider, and with guys like himself and Grant Irons on our squad they will set the standard for the youngsters on our Team.
You always have high hopes for the young guy coming in. We have been disapointed so much lately with Buchannon, Napo, Namdi, Fargas and others.
I will go out on a limb and say Morrison has a great chance to be a starter and major contributor for the Raiders. There are many former San Diego State Aztecs who have done very well in the pros. AGB has been playing for the Raiders the past couple of years. AGB was an average player at best at State. Morrison was a bona fide star.
All MWC defensive player of the year, 2nd team all american and 1st team MWC. Morrison has size, speed, intelligence and desire.
The only lock at linebacker is Danny Clark, Sam Williams has ability but, has been injury prone. Travian Smith has had moments but, he too has been injury prone and if he was going to break out and be the guy, it would have happened long before now.
Do not be surprized if coming out of pre season, Morrison is getting a lot of playing time.
Thanks for the info.

yea, let's hope he didn't get huge overnight, you know what that means....
anyway I love this guy's story he had been a riader fan his whole life and now
he has a chance to make his dream come true.. he won't dissapoint!

Yea he has to go up against Travian and Sam plus if he wants to be a MLB, he will go up against Tim Johnson, Danny and Jay. A lot of work to be done also depends on the system we run.
I can't wait to see him in a pre-season game...
As of right now in the 3-4 it looks like Sam-Jay-Clark-(Morrison-Smith)
I don't care what anyone says, if Burgess does stay healthy, we're using him at DE not OLB. He was a fantastic rusher last year with Philly when healthy. So This is what we should expect as of right now. Lets not get comfy yet tho because June 1st is comin up.![]()
Oh yeah and he is going to buy a house in Hercules by his dads.
Yep 4-3 DE but he isn't nearly big enough to play 3-4 DE- and although the general consensus is we're switching back to 4-3 i have a strong feeling we'll be playing alot more 3-4 than 4-3 next season...Originally Posted by ismail86
