Should we draft a QB?

its hard to know isn't it - if Gannon returns (like i get the impression he will - as we'd have to take a big cap hit if he leaves, right?) then i recon we should let Gannon/Tui/Mirer fight it out in camp...i also like the idea of getting that baseball player (henson is it)

Do you honestly think that a rookie can do better than Tui/Mirer?

Tui we already spent a 2nd round pick on, and shows promise. He needs to go out there, and EARN his paychecks.

Mirer has been solid. He hasn't lost any games for us single handely, and is good enough to feed Garner/Wheatley.

I think our biggest need is either WR (If we pick Manning, who's he gonna throw to?) and safety. (Do you REALLY want Dorsett to be starting? )

Next is DE. Someone that can actually, you know, get sacks.

Then comes DT. I personally would give Cooper and Coleman a shot though.

An OT would not be a bad pick either, unless Barry Sims gets his head out of his ass.

DEFENSE, DEFENSE, D-FENSE!

We havent had a DE that can put the pressure on a QB consitently since Greg Townsend! We need to get some terrors on the edges and/or a defensive tackle thats disruptive and can do damage inside!

You know what, over the last couple of days, reading stuff about Manning and Roths., I wouldnt mind if they draft either if thats where they want to go!

Look, I rather we build now and try to put a team together that can compete for SuperBowls for several seasons over the next couple of years...
In this age of the NFL, you have to be smart and build for the present and near future....(while if possible, getting a franchise QB, get him!)

I dont think this team will compete for a Super Bowl next season unless they make a dump load of dramatic changes! So, why not find out what we have in either Tui or just draft a QB and let him get thje reigns (i.e. David Carr). Or, get some more defensive players and build on D (i.e. Ravens) and hopefully Tui and/or if they bring in a Vet(or keep Gannon), they work out!

What we need to find out is:

- Whitted, Gabriel, Curry: Which one of these guys are going to step up to be more consistent and be a better presence than what they are now!
- Asoumugha: Is this guy a Safety or a DB? If he is a S, pair him up with R.Wood and lets go to war with them and our corners!
- C.Wood: Staying or Going?
- Gannon, Tui, a veteran or draft a QB?: Which one is it going to be and commit!
- Extend E.Bart and keep Rod Coleman
- Add agility and versatility to the guard spot. Walker, Sims, B.Rob., Mo and who else? We need a more athletic guard in there!
- New head coach, New d-coordinator, new offensive scheme?
- Garner? Coming or going? Is it going to be Wheatley and Fargas next season?


Alot of questions gentlemen and ladies!

a lot will depend on the coach. O minded coach we go w/ that side of the ball. A Defensive minded coach will be drewling over Taylor!

Maybe not Tui, but Mirer? I would take any QB in the draft and start him over Mirer.

They don't need a QB or WR they need a defensive line that can put pressure on the QB with some regularity! Come on people the Raiders have a total of 18 SACKS! 18... Without a defense the Raiders aren't going to be playing for any championships anytime soon

With Buchanon getting valuable playing experience this year, hopefully he'll only get better. Add in a healthy R.Woodson, CWood and Dorsett (when he wants to play).. Mix in some sort of a pass rush... And look out!
