Thumbs up Jacksonville as a trade partner?

ESPN Insider is reporting that Jax may be interested in trading up from #9 to #2, so that they can pair Fitz with Lefty. If Jax offered one of these two packages, should we take it?

A) Their #9 pick, their #39 pick, their #70 pick, and David Garrard for the #2.

B) Their #9 pick, their #70 pick, and Donavan Darius for hte #2.

I think at #9, we could still get a very important piece, whether it be Udeze or Will Smith, Stephen Jackson, Tommie Harris or Wilfork, or Mike Williams. But now we've got extra picks and either a vet safety or a groomable QB. In the early second, we'd still have impact WRs, LBs and linemen to choose from and maybe Losman, if option B came to fruition. This is all speculation of course, but damn it's fun!

Just Win Baby!

As long as we stay in the top 10 we should still get a Stud player...

I love extra second rounders!!!

The top 7 players are nice. I'd hate to miss out on S. Taylor but if we can get someone like him there then Yeah. We could then package our 2 2nd round picks and move up to the late first round if we want. etc. This draft is going to be the bomb. Isn't it funny that the hockey playoffs are here and that the NFL is so great that there is an hour show on espn on the draft.

Hilarious.

That would be nice to have 5 picks in the top 70, would give us lots of flexibility to maybe jump up to grab someone else in the first round. Roy would be gone by 9 but we could still get someone very good to fill a need.

I have look at it and if the Jags want the #2 they have to sell the family silver

I would do it if we get the following #9 (1st) #39 (2nd) and both 3rds (#70 and #72)

we give them our 5th rounder as well as part of the deal

We could then draft

#9 Mike Williams. WR
#39 Sean Jones S
#45 J P Losman QB
#67 Maurice Clarett RB (hope not) or Julius Jones RB
#70 Jason Babin DE
#72 Max Starks OT
#99 Nick Leckley
#166 Mike Karney FB

Now thats rebuilding

I like that draft roster, with Julius Jones at #67. I've tried to remain optimistic about Clarett, but something about his situation reminds me too much of Lawrence Phillips.

Also, I'm starting to wonder if #9 would be too high for Mike Williams. What if Big Ben fell to #9? Would you take him at #9 and then take a Derrick Hamilton or a Keary Colbert at #45? Or take Philip Rivers at #9 and then a wideout at #45. 9 long days and counting huh?

that first deal seems like an awful lot just to move up 5 spots......but then again, they need to show us how bad they want Fitz....put up or shut up BEOTCH!
