2. Oakland Raiders: Ben Roethlisberger QB Miami (OH)- Many Raiders fans will be disappointed if they don’t chose Larry Fitzgerald or Mike Williams but the truth is they have more pressing needs right now then the WR position. Rich Gannon is getting up there especially for quarterbacks and having no true back up or a future quarterback this is the logical pick for the Raiders. Ben has done nothing but impress in his workouts and interviews and could be better then Eli Manning(‘Ole Miss). Ben also possesses a great frame for the quarterback position.

Anybody picked at #2 is going to eat cap space. Charles Rogers got a $14.4 million bonus last year and this year's #2 won't be any cheaper.
If Eli's there and the Raiders don't take him I'll be unhappy.
If he's gone, I'll be content with Gallery, Roth or Fitz.
If the Raiders move down, I'd be happy with Roy Williams, Mike Williams, Taylor, Winslow or Udeze. I don't think any of my first four will last past the top five or six picks.

I agree, if we can't get Manning then Big Ben has to be the pick. Considering we will NEVER pick this high again, we need to get a franchise QB, if anyone saw Big Ben play in college they know this guy is for real. And you can't say that he didn't have the competetion in the MAC b/c it obviously didn't hurt Pennington or Leftwich.

The last 5 superbowl CHAMPIONS have had NO first round draft pick qb at the helm. Take Fitz!!!!

Trent isn't a solution he's a stopgap, we already have that in Gannon.
Last years 1st round QB"S Carson Palmer,Byron Leftwich,Kyle Boller,Rex Grossman and 2002 David Carr are all playing in the NFL and starting. If we take Manning or Roeth I think we'd be doing ourselves a big favor as far having someone to build a team around is concerned.

Players like these don't fall into our lap very often...seize the moment AL !
