High Schooler Wants to Enter Draft

Would-be Oklahoma running back Adrian Peterson (a top 3 recruit in the country) is considering entering the NFL Draft. He's 18 years old.

Hes the top recruit in the Country, but damn, hes way to small to even think about anything close to this. Is this the future of football?

The NCAA and the NFL will still work hand in hand and for the most part not much will change in the way players get to the NFL.
If any team takes this kid, they would most likely ship his ass to NFL Europe, and if he survives that he may get a second look.
There is way too much money involved in college football programs to even consider that these HS students are a threat to the norm.
You'll be okay Liebo, you won't have to do HS scouting for your draft reports too often.

this would probably save teams money on the salary cap. You could take these players pay them less and exploit them. This is the only way to teach them the importance of an education.

I see an argument that Football can use where other sports couldn't use. In football if you take someone fresh out of high school it is more likely they will get hurt playing football then any other sport. Maybe Hockey could be the exception. a kid strait out of high school doesnt have the strength and condition to step into the NFL.

I say use a 7th round pick on him, put him on the practice squad. Maybe have him fake injuries and put him on IR (Rookie Scholarship).

Dumb, dumb, dumb....these kids will be left out to dry. No degree, no job, no money, and only 18-20 years old?

Kinda like the majority of 18-20 year old Americans. Oh hell, they might actually have to, *gulp*, work.

The NCAA and NFL's stock is going to plummet behind this madness. Thank you ever so much, US Supreme Court. You idiots.
