As long as we get R. Woods out of the deal. With him and Porter we'd be set at reciever for a while and we could use all the other picks to bolster the D for Coach Ryan.
Here is a draft take on Woods I found: Positives: Probably the most polished receiver in the draft. He isn't the most athletic of this year's group, but he does have good technique, body control and ball skills. He runs good, precise routes, and gets out of his breaks quickly. He also has great hands, and can be physical when needed. Most importantly, the guy catches just about everything thrown in his vacinity. He adjusts well to the ball and rarely drops a pass. The man sounds like he could come in and start right now. "Catches about everything thrown in his vicinity" Thats what I'm talking about. Now package the other picks and we've got the beginnings of a heck of a team. A young team, but one we can look to the future with. Some of the positions can be addressed via free agency, like running back, o-line. With all those picks from NE and couple them with the ones we already have....man only good things can come from it. I'm on board...lets do it. Real Raider

Where are these rumors?? No way do they give up 4 picks for 1 player, that isn't Ditka coaching over there. They build their team on affordable players and the high priced ones go. With those 4 picks, they'll add to their team like we did with Bucs picks. Rumors..............

It's a dumb rumor and a dumb trade. NE is a smart team. No way this is even on the table. WR is too deep this year, and they really don't even need a WR. LBs, DL depth, more youth in the secondary, RB...these are the things they need.
Well, that and a punter. Little chance they'll take one of those in Rd1 though. |

The "rumour" was something I read on Profootballtalk.com and I was speculating on what the Raiders could do with that many draft picks in the 1st 2rds. The post wasn't meant to dwell on the Patriots mindset. Although it did generate a lot of that.
I did read on http://patriots.bostonherald.com/pat...?articleid=639 this is speculation from a sports writer! About the Pats need for a RB and the limited FA RB's available. I wonder if they would consider Garner if he's available or if they are looking for a bigger type back. Greg Jones could be there at 21 if they stay with their picks. |

*cough...coaching...cough* They need youth and depth. Their LBs are good, but they ain't spring chickens anymore. They have crap for RBs, although I do like Kevin Faulk. They could upgrade at CB, as Ty Law is the only world beater of the bunch. They're not flawless, they're just extremely well coached. |

They won't have a problem getting who or what they want. Let's see, 2 SB in 3 yrs. Would I want to go to NE??? RB no problem, WR, no problem. They have enough picks to get younger and add depth.
