Get Gallery!

O lineman and D fence are difference makers. If we get a WR\RB\or QB they will be awful no matter who they are. Why? Because they will be on their backs the whole time. If you have an awesome O-line even the Trent Dilfers of the world look GOOD. Why? Because QB's have time to locate the open man, GOOD for WR and QB and RB's will have holes to run through.

In MY opinion O-Line is the way to go. Flashy picks like QB\WR\RB's are great to talk about but if you have a ****y O-Line what do you have? I'll tell you- The Detroit Lions

Any body who wants to argue against my opinion is welcome. Since I don't think AL would agree with me I actually would like to be talked out of it.

Everybody's at the super bowl getting drunk.

If we don't get some OL depth in FA I can see us definately lookin long and hard at Gallery.

Heitz I agree with you; but Al is not going to go OL early in the draft or defense til later in the first round ( via trade) or later rounds. The temptation for a marquee player at #2 is going to be just too much for him to pass up. He doesn't normally trade down.

I do think the solution to this dilemma is as follows

A. Dump the over priced and or underachievers I.E. Gannon, Woodson, Gibson, Dorsett, and possibly Garner. Dumping is a relative term and could involve trades with these players and others. The object here is to be a player in the FA Market.

B. Ahhh Yes the FA market I do believe we can acquire the DT , OT, and OG we need. This will shore up the OL and DL and allow the LBs to be more effective; however it is imperative that the LBs play in the positions they are strongest at.

C. This will allow AD to take the marquee player of his choice at #2. WE will have to pick up a true FB, Safety, and MLB as well as augment our line positions accordingly.

This plan will require aggressive cost cutting measures, a DC that runs a relentless attack style defense, and can handle minimal supervision from the HC. In short an individual with diversifed experience and knowledge of defenses and personnel issues

Gallery is a good option, but not now. Fitzgerald will not impress anyone in the Combine with his 40 time, and his stock will drop. Its not going to really hurt his stock, but with the second overall pick you want a complete player. Gallery is a complete player, and his stock will rise during the Combine. Hes strong, he has great size, whats not to like? He may fall into our hands come April...

I like Gallery too, it would be great if the team could trade down and still get him (NYG are looking @ OL @ #4 though, and Gallery appears to have the better all-around game while Andrews is more of a run-mauler)

Trading down for Taylor is my first choice, but if we took Gallery, I wouldn't be upset. That would allow us to move Sims back inside to guard and cut the overpriced Middleton.

Woodson: Underacheiver? Did ya happen to see any games this year? He held down his side of the field all season long. He's worth every penny he gets.

Gallery is a solid OL, but he's not in the same league as orlando Pace. At #2 the Raiders need to get a better player...
Larry or Eli...

Assuming Eli is the 1st overall choice, these are the guys I'd like to see us get, in order, hopefully after a slight trade down.

1. Sean Taylor
2. Randy Starks
3. Kenechi Udezi
4. Roy Williams
5. Larry Fitzgerald
6. Robert Gallery
7. Vince Wilfork
8. Kevin Jones
9. Steven Jackson
10. Ben Roethlisberger

As I type this list, both RBs just jumped Fitzgerald but I'm too lazy re-order them.
