Clarence Farmer over adimchobe echemandu? two things.

1. i think echemandu is a better prospect than Farmer, and two, you know Al loves his Cal guys

As he robs them of their gold

I was thinking that, but Farmer is the kind of runner we would like, straight ahead runner. The injury will put him back in the draft. Echemandu is from Cal (and he has a funny name) but I dont think he fits into our offense.

I like the Brandon Kennedy pick. He is huge DT that can clog up the hole. I hope Oakland gets him in real life.

We could realistically because of the fact that he is only 5'10. That hurts his stock a lot, and he played for North Texas. I am very high on him and think he will be a great player, lets hope the Raiders do too.

Not all that high on the Stuart Schweigert pick. We already have two safeties that miss tackles. ;) Maybe I just have no faith in white DBs, I dunno.

Where is Matt Ware, btw? Did he stay in school?

I like the Starks pick. Putting him inside w/ Barrett and big Mo could be bad for other teams' health.

I'm with Twisted on that pick. Actually, I have no desire to pick a safety of any kind not named Sean Taylor in the draft. Let's bring back Rod Woodson and maybe sign a free agent to compete with Nash, Gibson, Dorsett or whoever is there. Our secondary has enough high draft picks already, I would prefer to beef up other positions, especially the OL and DL.

Our roster is loaded with undersized DT's. We need a big guy in there (Washington, Kelly, Edwards, Olshansky). No way I want a 5'10 guy in there.

I agree with you and twisted. If we end up drafting Larry Fitzgerald with our first round pick, I think we need to go D-line in the second and O-line/ILB in the third and 4th (depending on who's available, go with that pos. in the third.).

A guy like Rod Davis or Daryl Smith in the third would be ideal so we could leave Nap Harris on the strong side.

If we land Rod Davis and a space eating DT, I'll get arrested for dancing in the streets wearing nothing but my socks, pissant drunk. Davis' stock has plummeted due to a poor showing as a Sr. As a Jr., the guy wasn't even human. He'll be a beast for whoever gets him. If he falls to 3, and we pass on him, I may become ill.

As for safeties, if not Taylor, maybe Ware if he slides. Beyond that, pray that we make a move in FA. We let Sammy Knight get away. We couldn't land Harrison. We simply can't continue to leave that position in such poor shape.

That's my scenario for round 2 and 3. Space eating DT and Rod Davis, Daryl Smith or Richard Seigler in the 3rd. Along with Fitzgerald in the first. That would be an excellent first day of the Draft!

The boards I visit seem to have Davis's stock rising. Maybe early second.

Hmm. I know Davis' stock has plummeted from the heights it reached after his Junior year. He had a bad senior year and will run a sub par 40 at the combine. But his football speed is fine. He gets into the backfield faster and more consistantly than any LB in this draft. If he can get back to the form he showed as a junior, which I believe he can, we'd be arrested for grand larceny drafting him in the 3rd.

If teams are starting to get high on Rod, good for him. I always enjoy seeing local products do well.
