OK, so let's talk out of the box for a second. Let's assume:

1. Norv Turner becomes our next head coach and Rex Ryan the new defensive coordinator.
2. Both coaches continue to emplore their style: (Turner) Featuring a pound-it-out running game and (Ryan) an aggressive, fast, attacking defense.

If that is the case, we could make a case for drafting Robert Gallery in the first round and Greg Jones in the second round.

With Gallery, Walker, and Robbins you'd have a very young, strong offensive line to build around. Collins, Sims, Stinchcomb, Middleton, Badger, etc. offer enough to fill in at G for now.

Then you consider having Jones, Wheatley, Fargas and Crockett and Hetherinton and you have a first rate inside running game.

Just a thought. Of cours neither coach is official so who knows....

If that's the case we should trade down 2 or 3 spots, & pick up more draft choices

Turner is the HC. Not sure about Ryan yet....

If we keep the pick we get a potential franchise QB or a potential superstar WR.

If we trade our pick we get more picks but a lot of uncertainty. I like our spot at #2.

Our most glaring need is for stability. Let's hope Turner gives us that. I don't think he will be much of a recruiter so we will not get many FA's.

On O we need:

WR
LT
C
TE - blocking

On D we need:

DT - pass rusher and run stopper
S -
LB - strong side
CB - if C Wood leaves

I like the idea of taking Fitz or Manning.

BTW. Jones will be long gone by the time we draft in round 2 unless we make a trade. And Robbins cannot be considered young 30+ and his knee is chronic so we need a replacement.

I think we should draft the following:

1. Fitz
2. OT/DT
3. DT/OT
4. S/LB
5. OC
6. BA
7. BA

I am assuming that our DE's will show us more/something this year - Brayton, Sam Williams, and AGB. If not then we need a DE.
