Trade DOWN scenario...

This is a fairly thin draft overall, but there are THREE teams form the same division (NFC NORTH) in the first 7 picks... we can trade one down perhaps twice to North teams, each time letting the teams get ahead of other team for players in same need area... vikes may do it because two or three less picks is less total money than a higher order pick of 8 or 9 draft spots at early two... Bears may wish to block Lions aquisitions for same need area round 2 (Db), , etc.AL...
Play these teams like fiddles and still get a player we want, and use extra picks to move our two and threes up and add start quality ass well.

That's an interesting thought. We could still probably get a couple of good players, but I have a feeling that Al wants another impact player right away and if anything we'll be trading up. Just my opinion, but I do think trading down offers some interesting options, especially from a salary cap standpoint.

Better cap room and early trade down value to get maybe a high three to add another starter, move our three up and get contributor(Banta-Cain ) to groom in Romo's spot for future.
Could wind up with Banta and Callico in early three, and still get Peek and Faine early, would leave us a two to trade up for db depth ... Trufant had a senior on his other corner didnt he if so is he anything we could get round 3 or 4? Not a combine guy but someone who was solid enough to not be thrown at, maybe not an INT playmaker but only because nobody challenged him, there is another Lester Hayes with round 3 cb in this deep cb draft

sry on typos previous post...

I don't see a huge drop off between the late first rounders and mid to late second rounders. We could trade down or better yet, stay pat at #31 & 32 and trade up in the second round to be assured of at least two good defensive players and a shot at McGahee.
