Mock Draft, Bailey & Mathis
http://www.nflreport.com/mock1.htm
Why do i say this is a bad mock...although i wish we had a shot at bailey.
Texans arent taking Joseph
Cowboys wont take Suggs, Parcells hates, and I mean Hates undersized Dlinemen, he doesnt care how fast you are of the corner!
Newman may not drop to Minny, alot of gm's want this guy.
Kelley Washinton at 10, hell no!
Jets may not take Kwame Harris, they want LB help, DL or one of the big 2 receivers.
I see movement on draft day also... any opinions?

I agree, there are more holes in this mock than the Titanic. No way the draft goes like that.

Kelley Washington at 10 is a freaking joke with so many good defensive players still on the board. I don't see Corey Redding going that high either. Where's Kenny Peterson in this mock?
Actually, I wouldn't be too upset over the two Raider selections although I think Boss will go in the top 20 or so. I could easily see AL picking Mathis. Good size for a db which Al likes.

Bailey's speed makes him the next Urlacher and he can play ss if need be, these mocks are worthy of being mocked ... Mathis will go to Colts he has cover 2 corner all over him and his numbers show him playmaker, Dungy drafts results... Suggs has great speed, will be and OLB not a DE for Dallas, Parcells has his new LT, if he iis gone Newman is the new Deion, pure cover corner with playmaking INT ability and dynamite return man, he Bailey and Suggs are top 3 players on the board...Palmer took forever to do well at qb he has a long curve and should justly slip, Bungles have a qb for now anyways also.
If my top 3 go by the first 4 picks then it leaves Dallas to get Palmer since Hutch is a ? and Parcells hasnt said anything bad about him yet which is sure sign he doesnt like him .
Suggs could be a fit with any team, mARV LlEWIS LOVE DE/LB AND NEEDS IMPACT RUSH BLITZ FOR sPIKES LEAVING, tEXANS CAPERS LOVES BLITZ LINE- COVER ZONE BLITZ DE, AND CHICAGO let Holvin go and need impact OLB blitz man and speed rush end.
The only picks that make sense is Lousiville de at philly, White plays run as good or better than Hugh, is less cap hit, and is a nonstop player. He wont rush passer as well but thewn again the Eagles db faster at ss, nickle db, and MLB so they can blitz more or govcover and let their speed make plays from read and react.
I hope the Jets snag Kwame harris and block the pats, they dont deserve him, they had their gimmes... how a monstrous Harris who can run or pass block and played a proset O at pass happy Stanford doesnt end up in Carolina is a mystery to me OT is the corberstone of building dynasties...

Mathis Info
Someone knocked this kid Mathis because he played Div II. It seems he broke his leg in high school and the big schools backed off. The more I read about him the better I like him. Too bad he is not a DT or DE. But I think I'd rather have him than Doss or Polamalu. ANd if you below there are conflicting opinions on his tackling ability (both sources came from ESPN's draft site). The only thing that scares me is the pursuit angles comment. But it looks like he makes plays.
FS Rashean Mathis (Bethune-Cookman)
Vital statistics: 6-feet-0 ¾, 202 pounds, 4.43 in the 40.
Numbers game: Started career at corner, moved to safety in 2002, and was one of the college game's most prolific ballhawks in his four years. Totaled 31 interceptions, including 11 in 2000 and 14 in 2002, and also had 42 pass deflections in four seasons.
Upside: Top defensive player at Division I-AA level for last two years and should be a solid pro. Some skeptics wonder if he can be effective at a high level of competition but, when you're around the ball as much as he's been, it's indicative of great instincts. Played corner at first in college but moved to free safety so teams couldn't avoid throwing at him. Superb hands and knows the way to the end zone, with three returns for scores in 2002.
Downer: While he is a superb "ball athlete" and seems a natural safety, might not be physical enough, or a good enough tackler, for the position. Needs to work a little harder on technique and on his pursuit angles.
The dish: There are still some questions about whether he can make the transition to the big-time, but most teams feel he will be a reliable player, and he should go off the board in the second round.
Perhaps no prospect so precisely fits the reconfigured mold than Mathis, a solid tackler but, more important, a player who had a mind-boggling 14 interceptions in 2002 and returned three of them for touchdowns. Skeptics are fond of pointing out that Mathis played at the Division I-AA level but, as one NFC personnel director countered, 14 interceptions is a lot of steals even if Bethune-Cookman had played against high school teams.
"I've heard all the (criticisms), believe me, and I can't help I broke my leg in high school and a lot of big schools backed away from me," Mathis said. "I played where I played, and I did what I did, and I think I proved a lot to people. The team that drafts me, they're going to get a guy who is around the ball, who will make a play on the ball and who will hit hard."
Which is exactly what most teams want now as they reassess how to fill out their secondaries to meet the needs in an evolving game and best counter the passing games of opponents.

Uhhh, i dont think hell be a SS, LB will be his position.

Mr.Murder: Parcells has his new LT

This kid cant hold LT's Jock! He is small and has to show ability to play the run. Parcells hates these type of guys anyway. Only thing i like about Suggs, he is the youngest guy in the draft, Can he develop to be an impact, consistent DE?

NO dude, Suggs is not in the top 3, Bailey has question marks, Newman is the real deal, but no prime time!
Hey EastRaider, that FS, Rashean Mathis from Bethune-Cookman is a BIG sleeper, I like him alot!

Mathis is versatile enough to play both safety and corner. I think he would be a very good replacement for Tory James in the nickel package and take over the FS spot when RWood retires. If you think coming for a small school scares anyone, I have two words:
Jerry Rice
