McGahee
I truly think that Willis McGahee is worth the risk. Think about it. One, McGahee's knee is ahead of schedule. He is also willing to sign with whatever team drafts him. If he needs a year to rehab, he will, because we have Garner and Wheatley. Then, the next year, he will be ready. We have two 1st round picks, we can draft him and the safety Troy Polamalu. I think that works for me. Take the risk Al!
 welcome willis!

Could happen man, Troy is a definite possibility. Raiders have looked at him and is a viable guy to go in the 1st round.
As for Willis, it looks like more and more that he is gone late 1st early 2nd. If a team really wants him and is scared to lose him, they better jump on him when they can. If healthy, probably the best player in the draft! A franchise type back.
My prediction:
Al and Bruce take Troy or a DE/DT that dropped to them and MGahee. AL wants to make a splash, no doubt about it!

McGahee is ver compelling, but we could wait until next year to grab a RB. Remember, #1 RB's don't typically need to be groomed. We could wait. That said, if he was to pan out, McGahee could be a top 5 RB in the NFL. Is he really worth the risk instead of say a Jeff Faine?

As a former RB, I usually can spot a good one. When healthy McGahee was one of the best backs to come out in a long time. I just don't have a good reference point for such a serious knee injury. I cannot think of a RB that has come back from such an injury.......I think that he is worth a risk but not in the 1st. I have looked at almost every free mock on the web and most of the mocks have us taking him at #32 or #63. The only other mocks that don't have us taking him, have him going to Detroit #34, NE's 2nd round pick, or Philly's 2nd rd pick from GB. So if NE takes a RB in rd#1 then you can eliminate them. If Detroit takes Rogers then I cannot see them taking another offensive player when they have so many holes on D, so eliminate them. Will Philly take a flyer? Let's assume they might. It would be easy for us to jump in front of them and grab him and it would cost us relatively little (probably a 5th or 6th).

We don't need that cripple. We need a DE. Hell, we need two DE's.

Haha, funny, but we only need to spend one 1st rounder on DE. What do you think we should do with the other?

I'd be happy with Faine
or the best S left
or even a LB to replace Romo, have for a backup, play ST
a CB for depth wouldn't kill me
a OT to back up Simms would be acceptable, but not fun
A DT/DE hybrid works too
I wouldn't mind a WR, not a need this year, but fun
We can get a RB any year, and our guys are good for a couple more years. I'd rather improve our OL, get more athletic, so when we get a new RB, he can dominate.

I agree, I just hope the patriots don't snatch him off the board, before we select.

Well, only a week later and now it looks like McGahee is going in the first round, but to whom is the question?
