Man, you guys are having a tough year so far.
Yeah, the Bucs have two losses but we've been in every game and the losses were against decent competition.

Most of the blame goes on the coaches?
    Bench Gannon?
I find this baffling. You can't decline this rapidly, can you? Perhaps it's a chemistry and momentum thing and the Raiders will go on a tear starting with KC?

Honestly, I didn't see this coming, if this season so far indicates how the Raiders will finish.

Oh, is Porter back in the lineup yet? He should make a difference.

He is supposed to be back against the Queefs. Hopefully he can help get and keep Gannon in rhythm.

Altho...JP doesn't play D...maybe the O can score enough points that the D at least holds them to 13 points.

The specialist that Alstott saw diagnosed Alstott with a neck strain. There were no neurological signs or symptoms prior to the Indy game, as I understand it.

Alstott's physicians told him that it was just as likely that he would be hit in such a way as to incur disk injury if he waited a week or two as it would be if he played against the Colts. Are you suggesting that the doctors were wrong?

If you can find a player who wouldn't be clamoring to play under those conditions, then you've probably got a player who's ready to retire on your hands in the first place.

Bash Gruden for leaving the Raiders (or any number of other reasonst that I can't imagine), but blasting him for the Alstott situation makes no sense afaics.
My honest opinion--and I do have substantial firsthand knowledge of medical rehabilitation.

Was all psych warfare and it worked. Gruden challenged Woodson all game, he rarely threw at Tory James.

As for the Bucs now- their D is getting run at, when teams take it to them up the middle with the run their undersized lb and speed rush unit gives up yards.
Brad Johnson is the difference, hit him early and often to force mistakes, otherwise the Chucky qb system can work.
As for Alstott, put your best players in for the best plays, injuries hapopen no matter what planning is done.Tampa has their hands full the Panthers are for real with D to match them.
Fire the coaching staff would not change the fact our vets are not making plays. Tory gone from the db shows.DG and Grant are busts who were kept over Johnnie Harris and Kenyon Coleman. our O line had 2 starters out once Frank got hurt and their reps were penalised often.
Rich got shown up in the superbowl and has YET to respond, hius best game of year he still posted a turnover.
The second half a drive went like this after a first down near midfield- Three yard run (first down run), three yard pass, third and four he throws a two yard pass and we punt.
WTF? Two yard pass so his qb rating looks good. How many qb throw it 33 times and only get 150 yards passing?

Enough of this Porter is not in Bull****, Whitted has deep speed and get ONE PASS A GAME. The QB is not making it happen per down basis. Teams stay fouced on short routes and Gannon goes back to them every time.
Had Gannon thrown to Teyo every game ten times like he should he would not act like he scored his first career td last week, almost halfway through the season.

Another good post by Mr. Murder, but I take issue to some extent with the above.
The Bucs have displayed good run defense all year exept for the first half against Carolina. There have been breakdowns here and there in the one-gap scheme (bad decisionmaking by various players). Not to make excuses, since excuses are not necessary. Check the stats.
