Amazingly, they will put you right through to him. I think he likes the attention he has been getting, able to relive glory days.

Well guys, I have an idea, if you all post just a few quick sentences to a single paragraph in this thread, include your name, town, state, I can combine them into a letter and I'll mail it to Mr. Tatum from raiderfans.net. Whatcha think?

I second that!
Jack,
I wanted to wish you a speedy recovery and let you know that you remain in my prayers. You are definitely part of what made the Raiders great and your determination and skill is missed on the field. Not many NFL players both past and present hold a candle to your strength. This is the very thing that will carry you through these times and the Raider Nation will be behind you all the way!

PS. Thanks for the photo op at the Tennesse game in 2001, I will cherish it forever!

Im a youngin, 17 years old, didnt have a chance to see yo u play, but i still kno who you are and what you brought to the Raiders. I've seen highlights, and some tapes, and even heard stories. You are obviously one of the Raider greats, and will remain in my prayers.

to Mr. Tatum...
When today's db say they know how to deliver a nasty hit on the playing field, Raiders fans can always remind them of this fact: "YOU DON't KNOW JACK!"
Your play set the standard for 2 deep man and the crash force run safety for cover one bump and run man for all time.Coach Madden can help with leg injury, he has extra leg on his bus table turkey for Raiders greats.
Here is to hoping you current sitaution has given you the chance to assess new strengths and abilities. This is an opportunity to reach Excellence in new ways which previously may have been overlooked by yourself or others whom you know.
Looking forward to the Assasin's continuing pursuit of all things Excellent.

Mr. Tatum,
You are in the thoughts and prayers of the entire Raider Nation. I never got to see you play, but watching your highlights on NFL Films helped define for me what a safety should be. Best wishes for a healthy and speedy recovery.
