Serious question from a Jets fan....

What do you guys think of Napolean Harris?? I always questioned our GM for taking Bryan Thomas 1 pick ahead of you taking Harris. I thought, and still think, that Harris was a much better pick that would fill our obvious need for a LB. But then I read alot here that Harris isn't that good. I just wanted to get a general concensus from OAK fans.

I think if nap had better dc, he play whole lot better. the whole defense stank so i wouldn't say nap isn't that good. napoleon will get better in yrs to come.

Harris SUCKS in coverage, but with our injuries he plays there alot. The kid is a player, hell be real good, but we gotta move him to WLB.

Harris is better than Thomas. Harris can stuff the run but is still learning the MLB position. I disagree that he would be better at WLB. When he learns to read the Offenses better he will be a top player. B Thomas has not shown much but DE is a strength for the Jets so he may be decent but has not had a chance to play yet. If Abraham leaves then he will get his chance.

regardless of what you all think, I know my brother is an excellent athlete and always has been. On top of that, he's an all around good person. he always give it everything he had and everything he don't have. I saw him play with a broke and burned arm. Like everyone else on the team he has strengths and weaknesses.


.......Think about it like this, when you first learned how to ride a bike, you weren't the best on the block, but as you continued to ride, you only got better. That's the way I feel about my brother. HE CAN ONLY GET BETTER

He's a keeper for sure...a few bad plays? Nawwwww...we keep him. He's still one of my favortie players.

Right now he's a victim of the system. He's one of those talents on the team thats not living up to his potential... but it's not entirely his fault. If we had a real DC, the first advice to Harris would be to drop about 10 - 15 pounds... The dude was rumored to run a 4.5 40 out of college, but with all the baggage he's carrying he's playing more like a 4.7

Also the whack defensive schemes are tougher on a MLB than probably any other position. We need to get a real DC that can come up with a system that allows players to act and react as opposed to think and get confused...
