Peerless Price a RAIDER??? Next Year - Oakland Raiders Forum | Message Board

I have heard rumors from inside the raiders that we are looking at signing Peerless Price. He is expected to become a free agent at the end of the season. This maybe his agent just testing waters, any thoughts. It could be Rice has already told Al his plans to retire.

Interesting tid bit. Would love to see Price in Silver and Black. Of course that would cause a retirement from either Brown or Rice. And I'd hate to see them go even though I know it's time to say goodbye. But uh, Price would ease the pain.

The cap issue is going to cause some changes. But we have a few heavily priced players that are not playing now and won't be back. i.e. Russell and (crossing my fingers) hopefully Jett.

Interesting proposition, I don't ever think he'll be a bona fide #1 wr but a decent #2. I would suspect he'd command some pretty serious coin so unless Rice or Brown retire, he may be out of our price range. I'd like to see more of Marcus Knight and maybe pick Andre Johnson from Miami with one of our #1's. The dude can flat out fly and he's built along the lines of Jerry Porter.

Peerless Price, good reciever. Take him out of the east by all means. So long as you guys (or anyone else for that matter) doesn't get Coles.

Price would be pricey -- plus he really doesn't fit the offesne all that well -- price is a burner - big play guy likes getting downfield -- cant see himg oing over the middle and taking shots.

hmmm, nice subject, however, I'll wait till the end of the month before I concentrate on re-loading the team. 8)

I think TJ plays for the Falcons, maybe they'll sign him. I think the Raiders,although not as cap strapped as people think, won't sign a guy for the paola he'll command on the free agent market. I see him either staying put, or going to a team like Hot-lanta, Detroit, Houston, etc. where there is a good young QB and an opportunity to be the outright #1.

My prediction, Peerless Price stays put. Just like Eric Moulds a year or two ago, there'll be rumors all over the place but he'll stay put.

Sounds more like posturing to me. The Raiders don't have the salary cap room to bring Price on. The only thing I could see is the Raiders making some noise to make another team sweat and contemplate a draft day move.
