Humorous reading thanks. Here's some additional facts he forgot to mention. The Raiders are +12 in turnover ratio and the YETS were +4. Huge edge to Raiders. That's why you had turnovers, because we have an agressive defense. I see he's touting Szott as the big answer to a big game for Martin. I guess he forgot the Raiders are ranked #3 in run defense. He made no mention of perhaps the best O-line in the NFL on the Raider side of the ball. Why do you think we have the most prolific offense in the NFL??? Shooting holes through Zimmerman's so called analysis is easier than catching fish in a barrel.

Uh oh, pack it in. The Raiders are predicted to lose!! Nearly 2/3rds of the experts are picking us to lose this game. At the beginning of the year, cbs.sportsline.com's Pete Prisco ranked the Raiders 15th overall to start the season. ESPN's Mark Schlereth said they weren't a good team and would finish last in the AFC West. So far all these 'experts' have been so right.

Yeah I put a lot of credence into what Dr Z has to say as well as some of those other blithering idiots like Schlereth, Merril Hoge and co. They'll be back on the bandwagon after this weekend.

let's not forget over the last 10 games the Jets are the 2nd best D in points allowed allowing under 17 and 3rd best against the run allowing less than 90 yards a game.
Also they have only 1 turnover in the last 5 games in which Pennington has thrown for 12 TD and 0 INTs....
you can break down stats in many ways -- all that we need to know is that over the last 10 games
Jets 8-2
Raiders 8-2
Offenses are putting points on the board
Defense is playing physical
This will be a war! is it Sunday yet!??!?!?!

Hey 85inthehall -- I think I like you (just in a platonic-you-like-the-other-team-but-at-least-you-talk-about-football-kinda-way). You have every right to favor your own team, who doesn't? Just some of these people just spout off useless crap all the time. I don't know if there is a stat in existence I haven't seen over the last 2 1/2 days. I can't wait for the game!

Also remeber Dr.Z was a Jets reporter back inthe late 70's and early 80's -- and he always speaks highly of good old 85..but i only respect him when he picks the Jets -- when he goes the other way he is clueless

One thing is for sure and is widely agreed upon, this will be a war. Best game of the week. I will say this in reference to the YETS, if (and it's a mighty mighty big if) they manage to pull off the win they will go on to the SB. One of these two teams will go. The Titans don't have it and the Steelers were hoping like hell they didn't have to play the Raiders. We have the 2 best teams left in the AFC, period.
I would have liked the game to be played on Saturday. It's going to be a long weekend waiting for the game to start.

Yeah i agree about saturday -- the steelers are pissed that they are getting the short week and playing on saturday. I guess the NFL felt the two big games were the falcons/eagles because of vick and mcnabb and the Jets raiders because of the rivalry...but the jets really should be on saturday..maybe the nfl was taking travel into consideration for the sunday games

I heard Cowher was pissing and moaning about the short week. The Squeelers are lucky to have even beat the Browns. The only thing I like better than seeing the spit come flying out of his mouth when he's complaining about something, is seeing Dick Vermiel cry.

I know I said that I was not going to talk anymore until the game, but I must respnd to this laughable ****.
As if Dr. Z is the final word on everything.
Does anyone remember this from his week 9 column?
I do.
Check this idiot out:
Teams that played in an overtime game haven't done well the week after. Their record is 4-15, not counting games against opponents who were also coming back from OT. Fatigue, mental strain, typical letdown -- any of them could be contributing factors, or maybe all of them. Two teams have come back from overtime games to play an opponent coming off its bye -- the Browns, who against the Steelers went into overtime again before losing, and the Titans, who got clobbered 52-25 by the Raiders.
These are the statistical handicaps Oakland faces when it plays in Denver on Monday night. What's worse is the nature of the Raiders' overtime loss to San Francisco on Sunday. Their defense was worn down after the 49ers ran off the last 30 plays in the game. How long the effects of the fatigue will last, especially against the rested Broncos, who are coming off their bye week, remains to be seen.
Here are some more bad statistics for Oakland fans. In his seven years as Denver coach, Mike Shanahan has made the game against the Raiders, who fired him once upon a time, a personal crusade. He has never lost at home in seven meetings.
This, of course, will all be well-documented during the week, and the Broncos will read it. If they take it too seriously, they could lose some of their edge. I'm groping here. I'm trying to find a way the Raiders can squeeze out a victory. But I don't think they're going to stop Denver, not with the way their secondary looked against San Francisco. Cornerback Charles Woodson, coming back from a broken right shoulder, struggled. The Broncos will put him to the test, and they'll put up points. Defensively, I think Denver will use a minimum of nickel and dime coverages against Oakland's three-wide package. The Broncos' linebackers are quick enough to lock onto the short crossing routes, and they're better equipped than defensive backs to inflict punishment. Denver's the pick.
Gee, I guess Dr. Z always knows exactly what he's talking about and everything that he predicts always comes to pass.
Anyone who interprets what this guy says as the last word is a ****ing dip****.
Period.
This is the same guy who picked the Dolphins, Patriots, Bears and his pick to win it all, THE RAMS to make the playoffs this year.
He picked THE RAMS TO WIN THE SUPER BOWL!!!
Does anyone take this clown seriously?
LMFAO.
