What the Raiders need to do to beat YETS
1) Put more preasure on Chad then the Pack and Colts did. The Raider D line is bigger than Jet o-line so that should be something they can do.
2) Use no huddle often mixing runs and passes.
3) Control clock Chad can't hurt you if he's sitting on the sidelines
4) Stop early drives by Jets creating doubt in their mind that O isn't as good as it's looked last few weeks.
5) Score first let Jets play catch up
6) Take no lead for granted and don't let up if there is a deficit. This past weekends games should tell you no lead is safe and no points are in surmountable
7) Limit their Sp teams to 1 or no big plays and have one or two big plays for Raider Sp Teams
8) Use big game experience from players like Romo, R. Woodson, and Rice who have been to the big dance to guide younger players through rough spots in game. (hopefully their won't be that many)
9) Establish Jolley eary in game so they have to account for him opening up Garner to make catches out of the backfield for big yardage
10) Last but not least play like the team that played the last 8 weeks of season. The Number #1 seed and best team in the AFC
That's it if we can do 7 or more things on this list we'll be hosting the Championship game the following weekend.

I think the keys to the game will be the Raiders offensive line. If they can open up holes and give Gannon time to throw then he will be able to pick the Jets defense apart. I think that R. Williams injury may hurt as he is a great blocking TE. But just as they've done all year, the Raiders WILL overcome injuries, age, and anything else that gets in the way.
GO RAIDERS!!!

Welcome to the site Raiderrooter!
I think Porter and Jolley both score a td in this one. I think the Raiders will be going for the juggler, our guys have something to prove! I think the winner (Raiders) of this game will end up in the superbowl.

I especially agree with #9......get the ball to Jolley. He has only recently been getting into the scheme, and if they don't watch him, he'll get his catches. If they DO watch him, somebody else will sneak up on them. This is going to be a GREAT game!

Who to watch
Who else... Jerry Rice ! This is his time, JR loves the playoffs. We start running no huddle with 5 possible recievers out on pass routes Jr always seems to get open, and if they double him, Gannon will burn them elsewhere. Make no mistakes this is why all these vets chose this team.........SUPERBOWL

Good points. I just hope we sack the Chad and lay him out good and don't give him any time.

Not a problem
Its not going to take much to beat the Jets. They are a soft team that can't match up against the more physical Raiders. All the Raiders have to do is play mistake-free football, and they send the Jets back to New Jersey with their asses leakin.

We can only beat ourselves with penalties, turnovers and bad ST play. If we run our offense, control the clock and capitalize on our scoring chances, we should be ok. Offensively we have too many weapons for them to contain us. Defensively, having both Tory and CWood back will be huge and allow us to be more aggressive against Pennington. If we get out early and get the crowd into the game, it will be difficult for the Jets to play catch up IMO.

Well, the Jet o-line is much more atheletic. The last time we played you got very little pressure on Pennington, and was with JP Machado at guard who was horrible (remember that sack on the two minute drill at the end. Your guy just threw Machado on his ass). Dave Szott is back from injury and has played great.

You don't want a D-line thats to athletic you wan't one that can stuff up running lanes which hence forth puts more preasure on the QB (Chad) to try and make plays. And even without our best corners no reciever except Chambers of the Fins had 100yrds rec in our final games which puts more preasure on the QB and James and Woodson at even 90% should be able to cover well mix in help from the other Woodson and that's a good mix to slow down any offense.

One wide receiver all year had 100 yards against the Jets, and that was Moulds in week one. Does that mean Rice and Brown will have bad games?

I hope that the Gayders don't KISS Tim Browns' Ass again this game.
Geez, I hope his mom is at home too.
We didn't stop the game for Curtis when he surpassed 10K yards rushing...did we? Uh, no we did not...why...because our team is there to play FOOTBALL, not have a 5 min...sobing and crying moment of history to kiss someones' ass...Gayder fans always kiss ass.
So, just wait till sunday...you will see the Jets kick ass instead of Kiss ass!
