Why the Jets will win..

Since no one else is here I figure I will make some posts to surprise you Raider fans when you come back Don't thank me yet!

Last Game:
Morton's fumble gave you 7
poor tackling and week on 3rd down conversion stops on D
wasted TO by Pennington in 2nd half
Slow start for offense
Brown's stoppage of play for 15 minutes

This Game:
Morton will not fumble take away the gift point, pennington last 3 games 10 TD 0 INT - 26TD 6INT as Starter
The D is 2nd in points allowed and 3rd against the run over the last 10 games -- playing much better
The offense is scoring early and often - don't expect a slow start
Brown has no milestones coming up does he?

Jets will force the issue early and jump up ealr 14-3 - Gannon tries to force the ball in the second half thrown 2 int's deep in Jets territory.
Late Raider score makes it somewhat respectable.

Jets 31 - Pennington throws for 258yards 3 TD, Martin runs for 1 and a Hall FG
Raiders 17 - 3 field goals, late TD and 2 pt conversion

Can't wait until Sunday when the teams actually decide the game and all our talking amounts to just that - but it is fun to hype it up!

Screw the last game

It's a new season ! The jets will not win, so your reasons are not valid, this game is ours in our house, but you keep reading the papers and watching espn and build your hopes up. And when all is said and done we'll move on to the championship game and you can watch espn and read the papers.

The Colts ? Do they suck or what. I can name 6 teams who were at home that could have given you a better game than that. 41 points on a team that gave up, I like that killer instinct though, espeially after todays comeback wins. This game will send the winner to San Diego....I'm betting Raiders all the way, we need a set of 4

i ave to admit i never thought i would see a dungy coached D with the 2nd rated passing D play so poorly. It was a disaster for that team -- could send them into a mjor spiral like Minnesota.

Would have preffered a more exciting game(i don't mind the W though). Miami, Denver, KC, or San Deigo coul dhave played better. Cinci could have been more exciting.

This game will produce the AFC rep in the bowl!

Blowing out ANY team is a great accomplishment... especially in the playoffs... say what you want about the Colts game. The Raiders did lose to the superflukes Patriots right?

Yeah you're right.. not the same Oakland team. Tim Brown already has his 1000th reception, and now theres No reason for a stupid stoppage of game/free time out to forklift some fat mother of one of the players onto the field. Actually I hope they all bring their mothers, they're gonna be needing them after the game

You didn't get screwed, so stop whining. Even if you call it a fumble, Woodson's hit was an illegal blow to the head which should have been a 15 yard penalty. Raiders actually got away with one on that play.

heh heh

All the same, home field advantage should be a big factor.

Let me start by saying this, congrats on beating the colts on Sunday, it's always impressive when a team pitches a shutout! We did the same thing on week 17 against the #2 ranked offense in the NFL. And we had to do something that is not typical Raiders football, we had to run the ball. We ran it, 60 carries for 280 yards. No set of linebackers are playing better than our 4. Gannon's been on fire as of late. Our defense is playing smash mouth football, with our newly found running game, we have proven to be able to run the ball effectively when needed. That is why we win the game.

The Jets are a good team. You see Jets fans, this is not[i:bd99218b1a][b:bd99218b1a] ALL[/b:bd99218b1a][/i:bd99218b1a] your fault. It's the media. They are hyping the Jets more than any team in the NFL right now. They are all pulling you guys to beat the hated Raiders. All they talk about is how the Jets ended the season 6-2, but what about that disgraceful loss to the Bears? We were the hotter team finishing 7-1 only losing to Miami in Miami.

Just remember one thing, big players step-up on big games. After getting so close the past two years, the raiders are finally hungry and will outplay any team in the NFL. This is our year! GO RAIDERS!!!

If big players step up in big games how come you lost the last two years?
I think the steps are just getting to high for those old legs

I read about the 'stoppage for 15 minutes' when T. Brown got his 1000th reception and Jets fans act like it killed momentum for the Jets. The Raiders were DRIVING on the Jets, if it killed any momentum it was the Raiders. Of course the Raiders veterans still took advantage of matchups and got a TD on the next play anyway.

No Way i'm giving Congrats
