Take a look at the last three coaching hires. That has to make you serious consider that there just might be something to this "theory".

I hear people bashing Art Shell all season and criticize personnel decisions and so on. Then people say it's just a myth that nobody wants to come here. I suppose Sean Payton, Al Saunders and Petrino turning it down, that's just conspiracy theory?

Listen to some of the Raider official statements and press releases, they just about say it straight out (eg "There is only one reliable source in the Raiders organization"), and read between the lines it's all there: Al Davis runs the Raiders and wants things done his way.

Hell, 30 years ago people said Al Davis was running the whole operation and Madden was a puppet. I don't know what goes on inside the Raider organization, but the signs are not good. It may be hyped up by the media but at the core of it I suspect it's true.
