well is seems to me if anyone were a "good" coach, would'nt they want the challenge of trying to take a team from dismay to glory??
or do most coaches want to go to a team that is all ready set up for them to be in the play-offs??
i just do not buy into all this crap that NO one wants to coach the Raiders.
JMHO (just MY humble opinion)

The Raiders not being set up for the playoffs has nothing to do with why no one wants the job. It is the way the team has been run and how the players are supported over the coach. Coaches love the challenge of building a team but they have no opportunity to do so here. The coaching staff is decided by the front office for the most part, the players are brought in by the front office and the coach does not have control of much other than setting up and running practice. A good coach wants a job where they are allowed to do things their way. In Oakland the ONLY way things are done is Al's way. I know with out a doubt that Al's way can still work, but it makes things much harder bringing in a guy from the outside with experience. Thats why Al loves those young inexperienced head coaches that he can basically (for lack of a better word) "train" to do things his way.
