Tully Banta-Cain - California 6-3 255 pounds

Strength:
Speed off the line
Pursuit

Weakness::
Size
Seperation

Assessment::
Tully Banta-Cain doesn't look like a defensive end out of uniform and on the football field he is usually dwarfed by his linemates. Tully Banta-Cain might rival a player like Alonzo Jackson when it comes to explosiveness off the line. Banta-Cain doesn't have amazing speed but he gets off the line so fast and displays pursuit ability that is so good that it compensates for his overall lack of speed. Banta-Cain fails to create separation when trying to bullrush the quarterback, will have to work on upper body strength and leverage at the next level if he wants to play every down. Will take some time to develop but he could be used as a spark for a contending team out there who could take him by the late 4th to early 6th round.
