i see where you are going and i am not afriad to draft a certain player because of another one, i just think right now, i am not ready to give up on gallery and draft a replacement for him, i think he can be a decent guy, but we have too many young guys on the OL, bringing in another high young draft pick wouldnt really help IMO. we need to fix the OL via FA IMO, some vet guys who we know what to expect from, no more chances on the OL especially when we have other holes.
certain people are, like you kind of hint at afraid to take all positions and just make excuses, but others, like LBs and RBs are somewhat true, pertaining to the raider organization, for whatever reason they just havent drafted guys fairly high, but we have filled them via FA, so it doesnt matter honestly.
we dont trade down, only once in our history, even though i feel we should this year, cause we are more then just one player away, but that, sadly is true about our organization.
like you said, getting lynch, i would love to have lynch, he has great explosion ability, great cut back ability, not as tough as peterson but more explosive IMO, but honestly, i think the first overall is a reach that is why i am highly encouraging a trade down, that way we can still pick him up a few slots lower, save money and pick up an extra pick, but sadly i just dont think we will do that, al wants the draft to revolve around him and he would prolly wanna stay at number 1 just because he just doesnt like to change anything, ever.
