Tim Adams, who has been involved in the athletic performance enhancement industry for over 12 years, has joined the Oakland Raiders as strength and conditioning coach.
Adams has traveled around the world, gaining extensive scientific and practical experience that has assisted in the development of a progressive, cutting-edge training system that combines speed and power development, exercise and flexibility programs.
"Tim is a welcomed addition to our organization as he is knowledgeable, respected and extremely dedicated," said Raiders Head Coach Bill Callahan, as the Silver and Black prepare to begin the offseason strength and conditioning program next week.
Adams, 34, began his coaching career as strength and conditioning coach at his alma mater, the United States Air Force Academy, in 1995. He then became a member of Denver's strength and conditioning staff, working with the Broncos during their 1999 off-season program.
"I'm pleased to join the Raiders, an organization that I have always held in the highest regard," said Adams.
Adams left the Broncos to start his own consulting business and was contracted by several sports agencies to prepare their players for the NFL Combine. Adams trained a number of players who went on to become high round NFL draft choices. In addition, Adams worked with many elite athletes, including Olympians and World Champions.
A Lafayette, Indiana native who grew up in Vail, Colorado, Adams was a member of the football team at the Air Force Academy for two seasons and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1991.
He went on to get his masters in Business from Wright State in 1996 and his Masters in Exercise Science from the University of Colorado in 1998.
